Maiden Japan by Iron Maiden

Álbum en vivo grabado en 1981 en la plaza Nakano Sun en Tokio y en el Kosei Nenkin Hall de Nagoya en Japón.


Fue la última presentación en vivo del vocalista Paul Di'anno, la banda no tenía intención de lanzar una álbum completo pero los japoneses querían un álbum en vivo.


Como dato curioso, la versión venezolana presenta una portada con Eddie sosteniendo la cabeza de Di'anno, anunciando su despedida de la agrupación.

The Great Radio Controversy by Tesla

Este álbum fue el segundo de la banda Tesla, metal ochentero influenciado con elementos de blues.


El título del álbum parte de la controversia acerca de la identidad del inventor de la radio, Nikola Tesla es al que se atribuye esta invención, sin embargo el italiano Gugliermo Marconi se auto acredita creador de la misma, de ahí la controversia.

Colección de Metal, Glam y Hard Ochentero

Que tal banda, esta vez les traigo un compilado de rolas que yo armé a partir de la programación de las estaciones de internet "Big R Radio 80's Metal" y "181.FM 80's Hairband" respectivamente.

Se trata de alrededor de 45 rolas divididas en 2 RAR's de 150mb aprox cada uno, muchas de ellas verdaderas joyitas del Metal y el Glam ochentero.

No pongo las portadas porque cada rola proviene de su CD nativo y serían muchas.

Edge of Thorns by Savatage

Que tal mis amigos Headbangers, esta ocasión les traigo un álbum excepcional de la banda Savatage, pero antes un poco de historia del álbum en Wikipedia.


Edge of Thorns is an album by Savatage, released in 1993 on Atlantic Records. It was the last album to contain the talents of the late guitarist Criss Oliva. It is also the first Savatage album to feature Zachary Stevens on lead vocals, following the departure of Jon Oliva from the fore of the band.


The drums on this album sound different from other Savatage records as on this album Steve decided to use electronic drums. Although most of the drum kits sounds authentic, you can hear the difference in the toms.


The woman in the picture of the album art is Dawn Oliva, Criss Oliva's wife. Gary Smith, who also did the front and back covers for Hall of the Mountain King, the front cover for Gutter Ballet, the back cover for Streets, and all of Criss Oliva's airbrushed guitars, painted the cover. The face in the trees is supposed to be Jon Oliva, though producer Paul O'Neill disputes that despite its publication in a Criss Oliva interview from 1993. The cover is supposed to represent good (the woman) vs. evil (the face in the trees). According to Criss Oliva in a 1993 interview, "The girl is surrounded by fear and innocence. But the face in the trees is evil. Everything around her is evil. It's about good and evil. The songs on the CD reflect this, too.


The opening piano riff to the title track was used extensively in the MTV reality series The Real World: San Francisco during scenes involving the hospitalization of Pedro Zamora.


Como dato extra, este álbum que les presento es un reissue del 1997 que contiene como bonus track la canción "Believe" en su versión acústica.

Hola a todos mis amigos, espero que me sigan en este proyecto que empiezo, es solo un espacio para compartir con ustedes mi colección musical y rarezas, Y bueno, la razón de esto es porque en Taringa!, donde empecé a postrar álbumes, no me dejan hacer publicos mis posts, y de esta manera puedo llegar a todos.
